Assume you are an administrator for your local hospital and you are planning to deliver a presentation on special populations to hospital staff. Develop a PowerPoint presentation for your meeting in which you compare and contrast the effects and needs associated with these special groups regarding healthcare delivery.

In your PowerPoint presentation, be certain to address the following:

• Briefly characterize the community you serve, including available demographic information for special populations such as the elderly, children, women, homeless, and individuals with diseases such as HIV/AIDS. Identify and include any additional special populations unique to your area.
• For each population, identify and explain the group’s special influence.
• For each population, determine the group’s unique needs.
• Explain the effectiveness of your hospital in meeting the needs of each population. Identify areas of success, and then identify and address areas in need of improvement.
